I taste a bunch-o-wine (technical term for more than most people). So each week, I share some of my wine reviews (mostly from samples) and tasting notes in a “mini-review” format.

• NV Joshera Asolo Prosecco Superiore (Veneto): The texture is reserved; the overflowing blossoms of jasmine are not! $NA B+
• NV Iaya Asolo Prosecco Superiore (Veneto): As playfully fruity and inviting as its name would imply. $NA B+
• NV Vigna Rampante Extra Brut Zero (Asolo Prosecco Superiore): A rearing horse indeed, charging ahead with pure stone fruit and linear acidity. $NA B+
• 2022 Cantina Montelliana Merlot (Montello Asolo): Treads lightly, but delivers mightily on the red fruit and black olive fronts. $NA B+
• 2020 Giusti ‘Antonio’ Tenuta Aria Valentina (Rosso Veneto): Savory, sexy, spicy, and authentic take on a Bord’x-sinpired red blend. $NA A-
• 2023 Borgo Conventi Collio Friulano (Friuli-Venezia Giulia): A mineral, nutty, heady, lemony bargain. $25 A-
• 2009 Bel Casel Col Fondo Vino Frizzante (Bianco da Tavola): Biscuit, blossoms, a bounty of apples, and bodacious awesomeness. $NA A-
• 2023 Echolands Poet-Nat Sparkling Cabernet Franc (Walla Walla Valley): The kind of attempt that turns haters into true believers. $32 A-
• 2021 Echolands Blue Mountain Vineyard Cabernet Franc (Walla Walla Valley): Deliciously gorgeous. Or gorgeously delicious. Doesn’t matter, take your pick! $44 A-
• 2020 American Wine Project ‘Rivals’ LaCrosse (Wisconsin): Elevating this American hybrid to new levels of stone fruit excellence. $28 A-
